Just so you will know, My Old Jukebox music is not for download, not for share, and not for sale.  Just enjoy and start dancing!

After school dances around a jukebox, in the gym, required kids to remove their shoes and dance in their socks.  This was done so as to not scuff the hardwood gym floors.  Floors used only for basketball players wearing gym sneakers.  And of course, the jocks only wore Converse sneakers.

However, being an Okie from a strict evangelical family, I never danced.  Dancing with a girl was absolutely forbidden by my fundamentalist parents.  If I had done so, the earth would had opened up and swallowed me whole.  Downwards to a fate of firey perdition.  So, I never went near the gym with a girl after school.  I don't think I ever put a quarter in a jukebox.  I certainly never took off my shoes.  However, it probably was best that way.  Being a card carrying Okie, I had many holes in my socks.  Chuck Ayers
